Fred (John C.) Blumenberg was born in Germany in 1828. He married Lena Martinson and they came with their family to America about 1858. They moved to Wisconsin where they raised their seven children. Information on their descendants is given in this volume. Descendants continue to live in Wisconsin, Texas, and elsewhere.

Rudolph A. Feistel with his parents came to American shores in 1857. The family consisted of the father, August Feistel, his wife Paulina (Wendel) Feistel, and four children, and traveled to Port Washington.
In their family were nine children, only three of them now survive: George (Two Rivers), August (Kansas), and Rudolph (Sheboygan).
