MISS FEISTEL, 67, OF EMERADO, DIES

Miss Susan A. Feistel, 67 years old, of Emerado, veteran school teacher, died Tuesday in a Grand Forks hospital. She had been spending the winter in Grand Forks, residing at 230 North Seventh street.

She came to North Dakota with her parents, settling in Pleasant View township in 1885. Miss Feistel moved to Emerado after the death of her parents.

She attended school at Grand Forks Central high school, Arvilla academy, Valley City State Normal school and the University.

For 25 years she taught school in Wells, Grand Forks and Rolette counties. Prominent in social and religious circles she had been a member of the Emerado Presbyterian church since 1895, a member of the Civic club and the Rebekah lodge. She was also a member of the Grand Forks W.C.T.U.

At the time of her daeth she was president of the Presbyterian church Missionary society and was treasurer of the Arvilla academy historical society. Miss Feistel was one of the early advocates of adult education.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Edith Hickson and a nephew, Alvin Hickson both of Moose Jaw, Canada; two nieces, Mrs Anna Farum and Mrs Selma Kennedy of Ferentum, Pa.

Funeral services will be in the Grand Forks Presbyterian church Friday at 2 P.M. The body will lie in state Friday from noon until the funeral time in the church.

Palbearers will be Earl Finnie and Charles Seebart of Grand Forks and Stanley Vietch, Telford Finnie and Ralph Bossard of Emerado.
